Our story
Fresh Moringa leaf is highly perishable inappropriate drying costs it colour, sensory quality and nutrition. Conventional drying leaves that step uncontrolled. We built a company around controlling it and every step after it, from seed and cultivation to traceability.
Beginning in 2009 with 100% sustainable farming and an exclusive focus on Moringa oleifera, MiracleTree® grew from a farm into a complete value chain: four cultivation models up to 3,800 plants an acre, two proprietary drying technologies — ULTCD (2014) and CLHPD (2019) and more than 60 formulations across food, nutrition, supplements and personal care. What follows is the history, the technology, the people, and the notes we have kept along the way.
where it came from
Two people, one tree
In 2009 Sujatha Rajendran started turning moringa into food instead of supplements, with nothing chemical added. The product line was hers.
Saravanakumaran Rajendran, an engineer-agriculturist, came in to build the processing side: drying, milling and handling the leaf at a scale that could run every week without overheating it. He holds patents in moringa processing and has advised on growing the tree in arid conditions abroad.
There are three farms. The original six-acre research farm has been run as sustainable organic ground since 2007 and is where the planting trials were done. Production is eighty-seven acres near the Vempakottai dam at Sattur. Beyond that, roughly three hundred and twelve acres are farmed under contract across south Tamil Nadu. The farm and its processes are certified organic under the Tamil Nadu Organic Certification Programme.
More than forty farming families now grow for the company. Several have moved from ₹30,000–40,000 a year to about ₹1 lakh within three years of supplying us.

The Moringa journey begins
From the farm, the journey began
MiracleTree begins with a 100% focus on moringa: sustainable, organic-oriented cultivation, and a plan to find out what the whole tree is actually capable of. From the farm, the journey began.

Rethinking moringa cultivation
Field-level R&D across four cultivation systems — 12×12 ft, 8×8 ft, 4×4 ft, and high density at up to roughly 3,800 plants an acre. There is no single correct way to plant moringa — it depends on the farmer's purpose, local conditions and intended end product: leaf, biomass or tree development.

Farmer education and knowledge transfer
Demonstrate → Educate → Transfer → Grow
The farm opens to growers, who visit to observe the planting models side by side and adapt them. Practices are written up as SOPs so the knowledge travels. According to the company's industry records, moringa under cultivation in Tamil Nadu grew from roughly 1,800 acres in 2010 to around 9,000 by 2017. Demonstrate, educate, transfer, grow.

ULTCD drying technology
From moringa farming → to moringa processing technology
Ultra Low Temperature Closed Chamber Drying: controlled, low-temperature, closed-chamber dehydration in place of less controlled conventional drying. This is the point the company moved from moringa farming into moringa processing technology.

Moringa enters modern functional food
Moringa leaf → nutritional ingredient → ready-to-eat food
A moringa-leaf-loaded energy bar, introduced at Agri Intex in Coimbatore and later developed into MOGO®. Moringa leaf becomes a nutritional ingredient and then a ready-to-eat food. From farm to bar.

Moringa becomes skin food
From nutrition → to natural personal care
Beauty Drops, developed from cold-pressed moringa seed oil, take the work past nutrition and into natural personal care, proving the seed had real commercial value beyond conventional agricultural use.

CLHPD processing technology
ULTCD → CLHPD → premium plant processing
Controlled Low Heat Process Drying, built on the low-temperature work and developed for premium moringa and herbal materials. ULTCD to CLHPD: the next stage in controlled dehydration.

Filler-free moringa supplements
Filler-free tablets made from moringa leaf, flower and seed — part of a larger principle of creating value from several parts of the same tree.

Building the moringa product ecosystem
Product R&D accelerates across categories. The portfolio grows past powders and tablets into functional foods, energy bars, beverages, soups, tea, supplements, dried foods, seed products, cold-pressed oil, personal care and nutritional formulations — a farm-to-finished-product platform rather than a producer.

Moringa enters corporate nutrition
Energy-bar capability moves into larger-volume corporate requirements, including supplies associated with PayPal India. Moringa shifts from a specialist health-food concept into a format that can serve workplaces and large consumer groups.

Field notes
Notes from the field, the drying chamber and the kitchen — the same knowledge we hand to farmers as SOPs.
Since 2015 · Kitchen
Four ways we already eat moringa at home
Stirred into warm rice with a little ghee or gingelly oil (Moringa Rice Mix), mixed into a ready podi for idli and dosa (Idli–Dosa Chutney Powder), brewed as masala chai (Chaitree®), or whisked as a sprouted multigrain drink (MOVITA®). No new habits just the plate you already have.
Since 2014 · Process
Why colour tells you how a leaf was dried
Fresh moringa leaf is highly perishable; inappropriate drying costs it colour, sensory quality, and nutrition. That is why we dry in controlled low-temperature closed chambers (ULTCD, 2014; CLHPD, 2019) rather than open sun. Green is not marketing; it is process control.
Since 2010 · Farm
One tree, four planting patterns
12×12 ft for large trees, 8×8 ft for balance, 4×4 ft for intensity, and high density up to 3,800 plants an acre for leaf and biomass. There is no single correct way to plant moringa — the pattern follows the purpose. Each model was demonstrated on our farm and written up as SOPs for visiting farmers.
